Della M. Washington is the innovative Chief Executive Officer and founder of HeavyFoot Weight, a company dedicated to improving safety and stability for bounce houses, tents, RVs, and more through her patented anchoring solution. Based in Sparks, Nevada, Della’s journey began with a simple yet powerful idea: to prevent inflatable rental products from going airborne during strong winds. Her invention, The HeavyFoot Weight, is now progressing into product production and has garnered attention for its versatility and eco-conscious design—offering much-needed improvements to disaster relief, military, and recreational applications.

My advice to young women entering the industry is to trust your gut, follow your creative instincts, and remember there’s no such thing as a wrong idea when you're being true to yourself.

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is securing the right investors who not only provide funding but also believe in the vision and long-term potential of the work.
